Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processors with 100+ qubit coherence
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for enterprise applications
- Publish breakthrough research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF, DOE, and DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
