Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant quantum computers
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit performance
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum architecture specifications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum cryptography
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure research grants through NSF and DARPA proposal development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum error correction
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
