Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with error correction capabilities
- Author whitepapers and patents on quantum cryptography and secure communication protocols
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum principles and their practical applications
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM SIGPLAN conferences
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and photonic systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming with scientific computing libraries
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
