Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction codes for 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers in quantum machine learning techniques
- Collaborate with government agencies on post-quantum cryptography standards
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NIST research grants for quantum supremacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and Shor's/Grover's algorithm implementation
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum assembly languages
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave) and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and anyonic braiding
- Security clearance preferred for classified quantum communication projects
- Fluency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization skills
