Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-generation quantum processors
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals with quarterly conference presentations
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms
