Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on qubit architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in quantum information science
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Strong analytical skills and mathematical modeling expertise
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
