We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to develop next-gen algorithms and hardware solutions that will redefine computational boundaries. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and cutting-edge engineers in our state-of-the-art Silicon Valley facility, working on projects that include quantum cryptography optimization and error-corrected qubit systems.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with emerging hardware architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design using frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in low-level programming (C++, Python) and quantum simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of securing competitive research funding
- Excellent communication skills for complex technical concepts
