Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Conduct theoretical research on quantum hardware limitations and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies through continuous learning and experimentation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience with industry or academic publications
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Proven ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
