Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface, surface-17)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
- Fluency in Python and C++ for high-performance simulations
