Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to stabilize qubit operations
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government/private entities
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and NASA on quantum cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Track record of securing government research grants
