Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional research teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals and present findings at global tech forums
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum systems
- Identify emerging quantum computing trends and propose strategic research directions
- Secure external funding through grants and partnerships with quantum computing consortia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and algorithm design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants exceeding $1M in funding
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex multi-variable systems
