Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing prototypes on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques for practical quantum supremacy demonstrations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with enhanced fault tolerance
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting qubits, trapped ions)
