Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit coherence
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published record in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum error correction
