Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks using Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and classical languages (Python, C++)
- Strong background in quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (e.g., QuTiP, Q#)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
