Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for near-term quantum devices
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead quantum computing workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed quantum computing publications
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with tensor network simulations and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing libraries
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
