Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Develop scalable quantum computing frameworks for enterprise adoption
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Computing Summit
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum tooling development
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/IBM Q Experience
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures and cryogenic systems
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and HPC environments
- Preferred: Start-up quantum computing lab experience
