Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental research on qubit coherence and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Develop patentable quantum solutions for Fortune 500 industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics principles
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into actionable research plans
- Experience securing government or corporate research grants
