Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures for error correction
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in quantum mechanics and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Published record in quantum computing research
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit Aer, Quil)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
