We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to develop next-gen algorithms that will redefine artificial intelligence, cryptography, and materials science. Our Austin-based R&D hub offers unparalleled resources to explore uncharted territories in quantum supremacy.
You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers in our state-of-the-art labs, where we're prototyping quantum systems capable of solving problems deemed impossible just years ago. This isn't just research – it's engineering the future of human knowledge.
What you'll gain:
- Access to proprietary quantum simulators and 100+ qubit processors
- Equity in a pre-IPO quantum computing pioneer
- Flexible hybrid work with quarterly innovation retreats
- $50K annual research stipend for conferences/publishing
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software co-development
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with NASA/DARPA on quantum communication projects
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- File 5+ patents annually in quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
