Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Develop novel quantum algorithms solving intractable problems in cryptography and optimization
- Lead interdisciplinary R&D teams bridging quantum physics, computer science, and materials engineering
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum innovation initiatives
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Prototype quantum processors using superconducting and photonic systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 first-author papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error mitigation techniques and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing $1M+ in quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy milestones and NISQ-era limitations
- Patent portfolio demonstrating quantum hardware or software innovations
