Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols in fault-tolerant systems
- Develop error-correction techniques for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private R&D funding through grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
