Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experiments on qubit coherence and error correction in cryogenic environments
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publications in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware programming
- Experience with quantum annealing and superconducting qubit systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex system optimization challenges
- Ability to secure and manage federal research grants
