Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum systems operating at scale
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum software for proprietary quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure competitive research grants and partnerships with academic institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory and computational models
- Proven track record of developing production-level quantum algorithms
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience securing federal or corporate research funding
