Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cutting-edge research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world problem-solving
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory (arXiv/IEEE journals)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, topological, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and microwave control systems
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
