Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and computational fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to calibrate and test superconducting qubit systems
- Lead research initiatives in post-quantum cryptography and quantum-safe network protocols
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure federal research grants through SBIR/STTR programs and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (post-doc experience preferred)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, decoherence, and topological qubit architectures
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (D-Wave, IBM Q, or Rigetti)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
