Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum systems operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid computing solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development using Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface, topological, LDPC)
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in complex systems theory and computational complexity
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical, scalable quantum solutions
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences
