Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for computational advantage
- Lead experimental validation on quantum processors
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and interns
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation
- Strong programming skills (Python, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
