Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional prototyping sessions with hardware engineers
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning
- Advise C-suite on quantum adoption roadmaps for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Deep understanding of Shor's and Grover's algorithm implementations
- Experience securing government/defense research clearances
- Track record of translating theory to commercial applications
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
