Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and scalability
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF/NIH grants and corporate partnerships
- Translate theoretical models into deployable quantum software solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Physics with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRX Quantum, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and Python/C++
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
