Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum computing
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Present findings at premier quantum conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science/IEEE journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Track record of translating theoretical research into commercial applications
