Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum algorithms and error correction for 2026-era applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols on quantum annealing and gate-based systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum machine learning applications
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial solutions
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proven track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Expertise in quantum error mitigation and fault-tolerant systems design
- Strong background in superconducting qubit or trapped-ion technologies
- Experience mentoring PhD researchers and leading technical teams
