Responsibilities
- Architect and lead quantum computing research programs targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Oversee cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop novel quantum algorithms and error-correction methodologies
- Secure and manage federal/state research grants totaling $5M+
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate lab discoveries into market-ready solutions
- Maintain compliance with DOE/NIST quantum security protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years leading quantum computing research teams
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Expertise in superconducting qubits and quantum error correction
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong knowledge of quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
- Active QIS (Quantum Information Science) certification preferred
