Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Lead 10+ person multidisciplinary team across quantum physics, software engineering, and materials science domains
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at major quantum conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design next-gen quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and establish lab-wide quantum computing standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Proven track record of publishing 15+ peer-reviewed quantum computing papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong programming skills in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Demonstrated success securing competitive research grants ($3M+)
- Experience leading international research teams in quantum technologies
