Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and AI specialists
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Drive patent development for proprietary quantum hardware interfaces
- Shape 5-year quantum roadmap aligning with global tech standards
- Mentor junior researchers through structured innovation programs
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D grants through federal partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development with 20+ peer-reviewed papers
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading technical teams of 10+ members
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and error mitigation
- Experience securing DoE or NSF research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds and fault tolerance
