Responsibilities
- Architect and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists in quantum system development
- Establish research frameworks for quantum error correction and scalability challenges
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to transition quantum research into production solutions
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research budgets through competitive grant applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, QIS frameworks, and quantum machine learning
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Demonstrated success securing government/industry grants for quantum research
- Experience managing R&D teams of 10+ technical professionals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and fault-tolerant architectures
