Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional quantum algorithm development teams targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Design and implement novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum advantage in enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing topics
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Experience securing DoE/NASA/NSF quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum system optimization
