Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols on our 512-qubit quantum processor
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for commercial viability
- Partner with industry leaders to implement quantum solutions in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Secure federal grants and publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum computing with citations from Nature/Science
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Proven track record of securing NSF or DARPA grants
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes environments
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum error correction
- Patent portfolio demonstrating commercializable quantum innovations
