Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Design and implement scalable quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from federal and private entities
- Develop roadmap for quantum supremacy milestones in 2026-2030
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven ability to secure government or corporate research funding
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
