Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of 10+ researchers and engineers
- Design scalable quantum hardware architectures with 100+ qubit stability
- Develop patentable quantum error correction methodologies
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and Mayo Clinic on quantum-adjacent projects
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through DOE and NSF grants
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with 20+ peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ in government research grants
- Experience leading teams of 8+ researchers in high-pressure environments
- Deep knowledge of IBM Quantum Experience and Rigetti Forest SDKs
- Published work in Nature Physics or Physical Review X
- Strong background in topological quantum computing architectures
