Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with semiconductor partners to integrate quantum processors with classical computing systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage government/private research grants totaling $5M+
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen communications networks
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive talent acquisition in quantum sciences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent top-tier venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing DoD or NSF research grants
- Demonstrated leadership in managing R&D teams of 10+ scientists
- Strong background in cryogenic quantum systems or photonic computing
