Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum algorithm roadmaps for commercial applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols for enterprise clients
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Manage $2M+ R&D budget across 15+ research projects
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Expertise in quantum machine learning applications
- Strong background in superconducting qubit architectures
- Proven ability to secure NSF/DARPA research grants
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
