Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Advise C-suite on quantum adoption roadmaps for Fortune 500 clients
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum theory and practical implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum information science (arXiv/Google Scholar)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Proven ability to translate complex quantum concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
