Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Create hybrid quantum-classical ML pipelines for predictive analytics
- Lead open-source contributions to quantum software ecosystems
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum control systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS + 5y experience considered)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane quantum frameworks
- Published work in quantum computing or topological quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental implementations
