Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead open-source quantum software initiatives in Python/C++
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption strategies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Proficiency in linear algebra and quantum mechanics principles
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Strong track record of translating theory to practical implementations
- Ability to secure DoD/NASA clearances for government projects
