Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum software stack development using Qiskit and Cirq
- Conduct quantum hardware performance analysis and calibration
- Collaborate with materials science team to engineer qubit stability
- Publish research in IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum circuit design principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper)
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Publication record in quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python/C++ for quantum simulation frameworks
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD quantum projects
