Responsibilities
- Architect and implement quantum computing systems with 100+ qubit scalability
- Design hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in quantum system integration
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM Research, and MIT on quantum-adjacent projects
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Drive patent development in quantum communication protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit architectures and cryogenic systems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum information theory
- Proficiency in classical computing optimization (CUDA, MPI, Hadoop)
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD quantum projects
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical professionals
