Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing solutions leveraging Q# and IBM Qiskit frameworks
- Design error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Document quantum system architectures in patent-ready technical specifications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proven expertise in quantum gate manipulation and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Security clearance for DoD quantum research projects
