Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms achieving 1000x speedup for optimization problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum circuits for cryptographic applications
- Lead quantum supremacy experiments in partnership with MIT and Caltech
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DoE
- Mentor 5-person quantum research team
- Publish 3+ breakthrough papers in Nature/Science by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in quantum computing with demonstrated algorithm design
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum error correction codes
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming for quantum simulations
- Track record of securing federal research funding
- Patents in quantum information processing preferred
