Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures with 100+ qubit coherence capabilities
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving 99.9% gate fidelity targets
- Create hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-time optimization problems
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D teams in materials science and cryogenic engineering
- Architect quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Validate system performance through quantum simulation and benchmarking
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on industrial quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum systems with demonstrated fault-tolerance implementations
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds and NISQ limitations
