Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives for 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with quantum materials scientists to advance qubit coherence technologies
- Create quantum security protocols resistant to next-gen cryptographic threats
- Mentor cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Drive quantum computing standards development with IEEE and ISO committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction or topological computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compiler architecture
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control engineering
- Demonstrated ability to secure $10M+ in quantum computing research grants
- Strong background in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
